Tacoma ranked at the top of 100 large metro areas surveyed by the BestPlaces ranking researcher, which also took into account other factors such as commute times, alcohol consumption and self-reported mental health.
According to www.bestplaces.net , Tacoma, WA tops the list for being America's most stressful city. With one the highest divorce rates in the country along with high unemployment, Tacoma has been rated as a city not for the faint at heart. Bestplaces.net took a look at the top 100 large metro areas and took into account factors such as commuting time, self-reported mental health and alcohol consumption, and divorce rates.
Although, Tacomonas enjoy the safety associated with a low crime rate, their dreary weather, high suicide rate and property crimes makes up for that small fraction of comfort.

Miami, FL Miami has one of the highest violent crime rates in the country as well as one of the highest property crime rates. Making Miami even more stressful is the long commute time, a high unemployment rate, and a high rate of divorce. Despite these factors, Miami residents manage to maintain a positive mental attitude.
