The legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) has merged into three Bureaus under DHS. The Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), the security and law enforcement component of the U.S. Department of State, provides a secure environment for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy on a global scale.
